Disappointed - menu bar not working

I like the snippet handling features of the application but as a Developer the most important thing that attracted me to this application is quick and easy access to snippets via the menubar. This functionality is not working for me in version 1.1, which is quite disappointing.

After downloading I did the following:
1) Created a new Library and saved as CodeBox
(2) Created a new folder called Web Development
(3) Created a new group called CSS and placed it in the Web Development Folder.
(4) Saved CodeBox
(5) Closed CodeBox (Application)
(6) Went to the menu bar to see if any of the references were present and the only option Im seeing are:
(a) New Library
(b) Open Preferences
(c) Quit CodeBar
